Historically accurate cedar shingles such as grooved and fish scale shingles can be found at L. Sweet Lumber. We carry the full size and extra tall clapboard for those historic homes and looks. Our top-graded shingles and vertical grain clapboard are never finger jointed and are available in red and white cedar. We carry both primed and natural options. For vertical siding we have V-groove, beaded, shiplap and nickel gap options.

High-grade stainless-steel nails and screws suitable for coastal applications are available to secure your shingles and clapboard.

If you are looking for non-wood siding, we sell Everlast composite siding, Azek PVC clapboard, and can special order other options such as fiber cement.

We carry roofing material such as sheathing, ledger board and even roof decking boards typically used on large mill buildings. Other roofing accessories including aluminum gutter, flashing, and underlayment are also in stock.

Wood roof shingles both for historic and aesthetic applications are also a part of our offerings, including accessories such as cedar breather and wood lath. We also stock hard-to-find, historically accurate wooden gutters. We carry 3 different sizes and in long lengths up to 40’.
